Our History
We got our first Labrador retriever, Sally, in 2005, and she taught us a lot about the breed. The temperament of the Labrador was simply superb, and their eagerness to please their owners suited our family perfectly. Our children progressed from being afraid of dogs to being able to play and sleep with them, and even handle them at dog shows. Our dogs are an important part of our family, and we adore them all.
Rover, our first imported Labrador, arrived from Taiwan in late 2007. We grew to enjoy training with him and eventually showing him at shows thanks to our hard work and the helpful advice of our experienced friends. Our handsome boy went on to become our first Champion. We’ve never looked back since. We envisioned to improve breed quality in our country, by importing high-quality dogs from other countries. We prefer dogs from established lineages of reputable breeders.
We’d like to thank Mrs Marion Hopkinson of Rocheby Kennels (UK) for introducing Rosie into our lives. Our beautiful girl came to us as a puppy. As she grew, she helped us learn more about the breed standard. She has such strong attachment to her family, which is an indispensable trait for a Labrador, and she is absolutely priceless to us. Rags, who arrived later, is a classic English type Labrador. He has the correct structural build for a Labrador retriever, as well as a gentle and mild temperament.
Our special thanks go to Mrs Linda Malseed of Rodorbal Kennels (Australia) for allowing us to have Manny, who was already an Aust. Ch. when he came to us. We learned a lot from him because he was an experienced show dog; he was our show veteran.
Thank you very much to Mrs Sally Bell of Boradors Labradors (USA) for enabling us to have Leon, a typical American ‘ English-type’ Labrador. Such a matured dog with an excellent temperament, a well-built body, and a majestic appearance.
We regularly compete in Malaysian Kennel Association dog shows as well as FCI (Asia Pacific Section) shows in Thailand and the Philippines. One of our most notable milestones was our participation in the prestigious Crufts show in the United Kingdom in 2013. We hope to bring our dogs to more shows in the future, if our busy work and family schedule permits.
We are a member of the Malaysian Kennel Association, the Singapore Kennel Club, the Midland Counties Labrador Retriever Club (UK), and the Labrador Retriever Club (UK).
